Do you write reviews? have you used them to make decisions on dental providers?

Wondering how many of us write reviews for dentists? if they are good? bad? I love writing good dental reviews, because I believe in sending people to good dentists especially those good with anxious patients . we have to look out for each other and send people in the right direction.. or away from the wrong direction

I do feel bad writing bad reviews. but wrote one years ago. 15 years ago for a pediatric dentist that was awful with my daughter. wanted to warn others.

I definately use them to look at information on specialists or other providers . I found my endodontist this way and he was really good with anxious patients just like reviews said.

I have written both, one bad and two good reviews. I picked a dentist based on reviews but I guess most people dont want to write a bad review because he was bad and talking to people after my experience with him I learned I wasn’t the only one who had an awful experience

I have written good reviews for both my Dentist and Endodontist because I felt they were well deserved. I do take reviews into consideration when choosing providers. My endodontist was very highly reviewed and lived up to his reputation. If I had a bad experience (fortunately I haven’t in a really long time), I might write a review...I think if they were very unfriendly to phobics I would feel obligated to in order to protect others.

A review is great if it tells a story. A review without a story has little weight to the next person. I think you should share a story good or bad. Be aware that if your experience is bad and most others are good there might be mitigating circumstances for your negative experience. Consider contacting the business and sharing with them what was bad for you. Don't automatically give them a bottom rating for 1 bad aspect as it really hurts the business(whatever it is). Make sure that what you are complaining about the business can actually have control over.
My ratings are good and in USA that's really important. Here is a link to a site that accumulates all my reviews from all sites.

Go there and you will find many reviews without comments while I appreciate them they really don't help an anxious patient know that this is a good place for them. If you spend some time and read lots of them you leave with an understanding of the office philosophy and how you will be cared for by both me and my staff. This is the real value of reviews and how you tell real ones from fakes. Yes plenty of fake reviews out there.

@comfortdentist That is so true and such a good point.. I know I always look for .. how did they treat someone, bedside manner, and how would they be with anxious patients , any specific anxious pt reviews.. I agree from pt standpoint too just stars don't really help much at all. Based off your reviews I would think an anxious pt would feel comfortable trying to go there and give you a try! Seeing, welcoming, comforting, taking time to connect reviews!! REally awesome!

The dentist practice we use have good reviews.

We have only had to complain once to the dental practice that when one of the dentist I had left, and I was referred back to seeing my childhood dentist (my parents were not very happy with this, neither were I) so I saw someone else in the practice, he also left years ago to go to another dentist to do private work (I think he has retired, he was not a good dentist)
