Does anyone have a partial denture?

If so did you have to get surgery before the denture? I am reading online and freaking out. It says some people need bone reduction surgery or bone augmentation surgery or ridge reduction etc. It sounds horrible to me and If I have to have surgery just to get a partial denture I won't be able to go through with it. I am afraid to even have to get impressions done again but would force myself too if allowed sedation.

Hi

I had upper partial done for 3 top teeth 2 years ago ..no surgery or anything. They extracted the 3 teeth and immediately put in partial. Hope that helps

I have a partial for 4 front teeth. It went in as soon as they were extracted and I never had any problems with it.

thanks. I wonder if the difference is because yours was immediate. one of my teeth was extracted a long time ago, and another will be extracted soon.
