Does the numbing gel help with the pain from injections?

I’m going to be getting Halcion and nitrous but I’m absolutely terrified of the needles in my mouth. If I ask for the numbing gel will it take away the pinch of the shot?

I‘m pretty sure Halcion and nitrous will already take care of your not noticing anything but yes, nunbing gel helps as well
