Hi, 25F non drinker non smoker.
Had a failed (overfilled) root canal tooth pulled almost two months ago, 6th June. first maxillary molar on right side. the second (behind) molar hurts with pressure/percussion test and has done since a week or two after the procedure. It's not awful and constant as I don't eat on that side ATM, but when I do bite on food it does hurt. The tooth feels "big" if that makes sense, feels like it's already moved as my bite feels difficult now.
Dentist said it's a normal part of healing as potential exposed nerve and it's moving into the space so will hurt.
Is this correct? I feel like this shouldn't be happening but I would like to know what you think. I have seen things about maxillary molars taking longer to heal due to sinuses but i want to ask a dentist because I feel like my current dentist has lied to me, he was awkward about telling me he'd overfilled my RCT which lead me to another month being in pain. He took 1.5hrs to extract the tooth and just gives me antibiotics whenever I'm in pain. I can't afford to go private and I'm scared about going back. I have such huge anxiety about this.
Also I've had some horrible sinus symptoms since the original root canal which have continued, so my dentist gave me antibiotics recently as usual. Helped a bit, but went to doctors and they think it's TN or TMJ. Which makes sense because the original root canal tooth had on and off shooting pain and tingling for 10 years.
