Enamel on back of teeth

The enamel behind my lower front teeth is really rough, and not something that the dentist could scrape away last time (I guess not build up). Any idea what this is? Is it calcification? How does one treat this? Thanks!

Are you sure it's not just calculus (aka tartar) build up? That feels pretty rough to the tongue and behind your front teeth is where it tends to form.
