Well, my last extractions were about five months ago. Things had settled down until this morning.
I broke off a filling in my upper left tooth right next to the canine, and upon inspection, discovered that it and the canine will have to be extracted (calling them tomorrow) due to a lot of decay.
At the beginning of January, I had my lower right canine extracted which broke off and resulted in a half an hour of drilling to get the root out, requiring one set of stitches, and later the bleeding was so severe I had to go back in, get debrided and get a second set of stitches. I bled rather profusely for about 12 hours.
As a result, I am terrified to think of what will happen when I get this next canine out (note that I had my lower left one extracted in December and it was easy peasy by comparison).
Are upper canines just as tough to extract as lowers?
Thanks, all. Just trying to best prepare myself if the worst happens again.
