Extraction site recovery

How long after extraction should my gum be tender? My extraction site kinda has a slit in it that I can see is healing but sometimes hard food will get in there and I have to take it out and then it looks like the slit where is was stitched together is deeper. That the hard food is pushing it down again. Is this bad? Can I still get dry socket or effect my site? I got my tooth pulled 9/28 and stitches out 10/5. Help please

It will be fine, just give it a few more weeks. No chance of a dry socket at this stage.

Thank you again! Sorry, I thought my phobia would be over and here I go again freaking out. Next step is cleaning and xrays! And fix those cavities!
