Hello, I'm a very anxious patient due to childhood trauma at the dentist and also a rare endocrine condition that creates various difficulties affecting muscles and nerves, and hypocalcaemia. I have to have adrenalin free injections but usually have all work done without injections. it's the very real affect on me of the injections that I fear most. I have a broken tooth (not much protruding) which has been fine for about ten years but suddenly blew up with pain. The dentist x rayed it and said there was an early infection, prescribed antibiotics and booked an extraction for Thursday. 3 days in I have developed a swollen face and, I think, sinusitis. The pain is now over half my face while the tooth itself is less painful. My question is will I need to delay the extraction and if not what are the risks? I also have high blood pressure. Thank you.
