I have a lot of fear of dentists and staff behaving in ways that are pushy, aggressive, scammy, angry, raising their voice, high pressure, or selfishly financially motivated. This fear is because I have experienced all these types of treatments all too many times.

This fear causes me a lot of problems talking to dentists and staff, including problems asking questions and negotiating, which makes my situation worse. Basically, I often fear speaking to them. I am generally prone to be shy and socially anxious.

Dentists and staff misread my fear of dealing with them personally as a fear of treatment/pain which causes misunderstandings.

Does anyone else have this fear? I would love to hear any stories, tips, or advice.
