Hey all, so I went to the dentist on Wednesday (today is Friday) and got my first premolar on my right side worked on with a filling. This is my first time with this dentist and they injected three times in my mouth, one going very high up. It even made my eye lid and surrounding muscles numb during the procedure.
Now my muscles and bone are tender around my zygomatic bone. Especially when I tightly shut my eye. Should I be worried? They did say it'd be tender for a few days but I've honestly never experienced anything like it and I'm spiraling.
Cheers.

They've injected a bit too far up and zapped some of the facial nerve branches.

It's no big deal, there may be a bit of deep tissue inflammation afterwards so I'd use some ice packs on the area (frozen peas are good!) and maybe some ibuprofen if it's really bugging you.

@Gordon I appreciate your help! Thank you for the information
