I had a root canal/crown done on tooth #20 in August. The permanent crown was placed about a month ago. I now have a decent gap in between the crown and my gums. I can see and feel my real tooth. The gap isn't too big, almost big enough for fit a credit card. The doctor was very rushed the day the permanent crowns were put on. A dental assistant cleaned the temporary cement off the teeth and I waited around for 30 mins+ with the permanent crowns just sitting on my teeth. When the doctor came in he just blew air on the teeth and had the assistant put cement on the crowns. After the crowns were placed on my teeth I bit on cotton for about 45 secs in that time the doctor left and the assistant cleaned the remaining cement.
Is this something I should go back and talk to them about? It is seeming a bit difficult to keep the area clean. If it does need to be redone because of it being more vulnerable to decay, would the dentist office be responsible to correct it? Am I expected to pay anything at all? I'm pretty broke after spending $5k out of pocket. I had a lot of other work done as well.
Thanks!
