Hello

I changed to a brand new dentist after so many years or not going to bad experiences . I am meant to be getting an amalgam filling and then following week tooth extracted. The first appointment when terrible. I have such a bad gagging relux and they took trays. I am really scared . Does getting a filling and tooth extracted will this set of my gagging. ? Please help and support and talk me through the steps

@AnnmarieH ask dentist to put a pinch of salt onto back of tongue. this will repress the gagging reflex in my years of experience

The gag reflex triggered by trays is usually different than what you would get during a filling and an extraction. I know in North America more and more dentists are switching to digital impressions instead of using trays.
