I have a fear of being numb. A tooth on my lower right side has paid the price..

I found a really nice dentist who listened to my fears and is going to do the root canal for me..instead of doing a nerve block he says he will just inject the one tooth.

What am i going to feel when he does that. will i feel numbness or not notice anything at all?

Im very nervous about sitting through this 2 hr procedure that i have put off for two yrs!!

Thank you so much all for your time.

This is so not my fear (mine is totally the opposite) so the best I can do is post this link:

It depends on how he's going to do it.
Using something like an intraligamentary technique (Google is your friend here!) then you'll notice a slight change in sensation when biting (mostly).
if he's using an intraosseous technique then you might get a slightly more generalised numb feeling.
