Gum pigmentation

Hello there,

I always had pink gums And recently from past one year I am seeing changes in gum color.No bleeding , no soreness but has this discolouration. It started at the front upper tooth and now it’s almost in many places.
I am on 20mg statins from past two year for cholesterol. I never smoke or drink alcohol.please help am too scared.

Difficult to make out the exact colour from the photo, but it does appear to be located in between your teeth.
Apart from brushing with a toothbrush, do you use any other items to clean between your teeth, such as floss of interdental brushes?

Thank you for the reply.I use dental floss and use electric brush.Nothing else.

Going from what I see on the photos, my best guess is you have something called Gingival Melanosis. It is benign condition and there are treatments to improve the appearance if it bothers you.
Of course, it would be wise to get an in person opinion to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
