Gums after cleaning visit

I just had an exam and teeth cleaning (ultrasonic tool) a couple days ago. How long will it take for my gums to really start looking good? Was my first time to the dentist in about 18 years! Just wondering if I can have healthy looking gums again after taking so much time away. Hygenist removed all the tarter under the gum line with an ultrasonic tool. My mouth feels amazing but I feel my gums still look puffy/inflamed. Will this eventually all go down?
