Hi,

So I had a Root Canal And I was supposed to go back for a crown. The Dentist said there was no rush so I didn't rush into it (I dont like Going to the Dentists) About 3 Weeks later my Temp filling fell out and I stupidly left it thinking it'd be no issue.

Big Mistake, Not long after the back of the Molar Completely broke down to the gum,Leaving me with only half a Molar, The Tooth turn't Blue/Black, The inside of the Tooth (Where the filling was obviously) looks horrible, Can't even describe what it looks like and I've just over the past week developed a lump on my gum which went away and returned just yesterday.

Now Im stuck in a horrible situation, Wishing I'd had just gotten the crown done instantly instead of going through all this trouble. I'm more worried about how they're going to tackle this problem...? I would have to assume that it will have to be removed but I'm not sure it's going to be easy to remove due to whats left of the tooth and the condition it's in?

Hi :welcome: to the forum.

If the tooth needs removing which it sounds as if it does, but until a dentist has had a look you won't know for sure.

If extraction is the treatment you need don't worry it will come out very easily. They will numb you, once you are numb they will prepare the tooth and just lift what is there out. I had one that had broken, the front of mine broke off, I was worried as you are that it would break or that they wouldn't be able to remove it without cutting my gums.

It was extracted in seconds not pulling or tugging and my gums weren't cut either it was out and I didn't even know until the dentist said that it was done. I had put myself through mental torture for weeks. I couldn't believe how easy it was, but I was walking on air really pleased with myself that I had done it.

I even gave myself a gold star, in my head.

Try not to get too stressed, make an appointment and hopefully you will find the courage to go and have it treated. You never know it might even be able to be built up so you can keep it.

All the best to you, let us know how you get on please :butterfly:
