Hey 😊

I found out yesterday that I need to have 5 teeth pulled because of decay - all 4 wisdom teeth are looking pretty bad and then another one that I had a root canal done on years back but that can’t be retreated.

I’m terrified aha, the only good thing is that I *should* be able to have all 5 done under general at the hospital (to be honest, I’m not sure they’ll get them out any other way). I haven’t even got the appointment (obviously am waiting for a letter but the referral has been made) and I’m already bricking it.

I’m hoping that people who have had all 4 removed at once could tell me what to expect after? I’m not worried about diet because I’m on a supplement based diet anyway because I have severe ME/CFS and don’t have the physical energy to eat any more so that’ll be fine for me, but it’s more the pain that I’m scared about. And I have no clue what to expect.

I’m only 26 and have had relatively good oral hygiene up until recent years when depression crossed with severe ME have left me seriously neglecting any needs like that. I’ve never had a tooth out, let alone 5 at once and yeah. Panic central here today 😅

Hey rachwrites,

I had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once, without general anesthetic. You'll be totally fine. For me cooling packs and standard over the counter pain killer was enough, no pain and no problems :)
