How do I mentally prepare being without teeth in public and at work where I need to talk to people? I understand it's temporary and won't always be so hard but I already struggle with confidence.

@carrieann44 hello

Are you having this done privately? Just because I want my teeth out I don’t have many left and already have a partial denture. Are you being put asleep?

Hope it all goes well for you let me know

I am going to an oral surgeon through my medicaid plan and I will be going under.

@carrieann44 oh okay . Best of luck, I’ve had teeth out under general anaesthetic didn’t even need painkillers after it I think they gave me something really strong . Wasn’t much bleeding and didn’t get dry socket . Would you be able to get a sick note off your doctor if possible to give you sometime to heal and get use to it .

@carrieann44 The good thing about Covid is that it’s not that strange anymore to wear a face mask! When you go back to work, if you haven’t gotten used to your appearance yet, you can just put a mask on.

@HeatherWasHere seriously,no one wears a mask for Covid 🤭. Hopefully this person now has their dentures sorted
