Having one upper wisdom tooth removed very nervous

Hi all, this Thursday I am having my upper wisdom tooth removed due to it having a large cavity. I am 35 and have heard horror stories about people getting there tooth removed especially in there 30s I am hoping to hear some positive stories to help with my anxiety. I am most nervous and scared about the post op recovery due to reading so many people say they have had dry socket and it was extremely painful or having severe jaw pain for a long time. Please can I hear some positive success stories to help thanks!
