ok so im having a tooth pulled on monday and im anxious on the printed paper that the dentist sent me home with its listed as extraction erupted tooth/exposed root any idea what this means? also is this a simple procedure or a difficult one ive had teeth pulled before but never one labled as erupted tooth/exposed root lastly what should i expect during and after dental visit

edit how long will it take for the blood to clot once the tooth is pulled

on final thing how long as in hours or day will it take before i can eat solid food for the first few hours after the tooth is pulled i pan to eat soup as in ramen noodle or even just chicken broth

edit i should mention ive been diagnossed with an anxiety disorder last time i went to the dentist my blood prerssaure was way high due ot said anxiety disorder please help me quell my fears

The erupted tooth/exposed root part is the just the technical code used by dentists for "simple" extractions. This is the code used for the majority of extractions where nothing special needs to be done such bone removal, etc. A simple extraction is usually (but not always) easier than a surgical extraction. Should be about the same as any teeth you've had removed in the past!

The blood usually clots within 10-20 minutes after the extraction.

You'll probably be back to solid food the next day as long as you chew on the other side of your mouth.

if i may ask after i leave the dentist how long should i wait before eating or drinking because #1 i dont want dry socket and #2 i dont wanna risk loosing the clot also #3 how long should i keep using gauze for after the tooth is pulled lastly how will i know if the area where the tooth is pulled is healing properly i.e. what to look for to know its doing well

edit also ok so i have a molar on the lower right side of my jaw that im having pulled out and for some odd reason when ever i take pain medicine the back of the lower right side of my jaw feels funny i cant describbe the feeling its not pain or numbness and i know its not an infection any ideas why it feels this way

Hope it went well?
