Healing from Wisdom teeth

When my hole about to heal, does it starts from the bottom to fill up the hole or close by the side?

I don't know if it healing or not since I can't tell. I still have a hole and I would like to know how it heals the hole.

Sort of both, if you can picture it, the bottom fills up and the sides close in.
