High filling question

does a high filling still cause problem even if one doesn't bite down? Will jaw muscle still feel weird or sore?

I had a temporary filling put in on Friday while waiting for antibiotics to clear up an infection. It's now Sunday and the pain is actually worse than before I had the filling. The filling seems higher at one point and my tongue is so drawn to this, it's actually making my tongue ache. It isn't affecting my bite as I simply can't chew at all on that side. My jaw is aching like nobody's business...not sure if that's infection or filling or even high filling related.
