I had a tooth removed 2 years ago on the lower left of my mouth. I ended up with dry socket. There is still a tiny hole in the gum. Is this normal or do I need to see a dentist? Im worried its something serious that's happening

Hi Dawniemcg

Does the area feel OK, is it sore or ulcerated? Is there any discharge from the hole?
The chances are it is normal and just he way this one has healed. One of the advantages of seeing a dentist for a routine review at least once a year is that they can check this sort of thing for you.

Hi no its completely fine. No pain or anything. The reason I'm worried is I was with a dentist in December for a checkup and there was no mention of it. I also am almost sure it was closed up. Thank you for your reply
