My gums are a little redder than I I think they should be. Does this show any signs of gum disease I should be concerned about? There is also a little white bump, is that an abscess? It is not painful.

Thanks

You can't tell from a photo. You have some calculus (tartar) present, the gums look a bit puffy and inflamed but the most important thing is to use a periodontal probe to check for bone loss. Which we can't do over the internet.
The white bump could be a few things, again can't tell from a photo, but not an abscess.

You can guess the next bit: get yourself a dentist and get things checked properly.

Thanks Gordon.

@soup_eater if you think those gums are bad, my sons look a heck of a lot worse than those
