How can you tell the difference between a baby and adult tooth?

In an x-ray, how are dentists able to tell which tooth is an adult tooth and and which tooth is a baby tooth?

When I was younger, I never looked after my mouth well and never cared or focussed on my teeth. I’m never 100% sure on which teeth are adult teeth ? but my dentist knows straight away
