How long before I can take dentures out?

Yesterday I went from partial top denture to full top denture.
I had 3 extractions.
Today I feel very sore, bruised and swollen
(which I didn't with partial denture)
How long before I can take my denture out to wash it?
Am I best to just wait till my gums settle down?
Lastly, is it normal for denture to feel too tight?

Now is OK if you put them back in immediately afterwards. Yes, they do tend to get looser after a while so it's better if they start a bit tight.
