This is probably a long shot but can anyone relate? I’ve been struggling for a while now to get over this ridiculous mental block about brushing my teeth. My wisdom teeth started giving me issues 6 months ago and since then my oral health has really gone downhill… I’ve been afraid to brush my teeth because my mouth is so uncomfortable. My gums are redish purple and inflamed and I have a lot of plaque build up. My whole mouth is extremely sensitive and my teeth have odd (pressure like) sensations. I thought maybe this is due to the wisdom teeth pushing on the nerves but I don’t know considering the most effected area is my bottom front teeth. I keep obsessing over my mouth thinking my teeth are loose or moving which leads me to my fear… I have this unrealistic fear that if I brush my teeth (no matter how light the pressure I do it in) that they will fall out. I’m so defeated by this mental block and I don’t know how to get over it. I feel like the only one with this odd problem and I need help. Can anyone relate in any way? I could really use some advice.
