I am nervous

I am nervous about eating after my wisdom tooth extraction because of a gap that I see behind the sewn area of the gum which is close to the throat. Does it mean that the dentist was not able to sew more of the gum? Will food dislodge in the open area? Will my gum become infected? As a result, I am afraid to eat.
I am in need of your advice.

I have no solid advice, just a recent wisdom tooth extractee.. Offering support. ??
Sucks to not be able to eat and I haven't gotten much food down either, but I think that mine also isn't healing properly.. Is this spot your referring to painful at all? Just curious..
