I got my tooth removed (a back one?) a couple of weeks ago, and now there's a painful lump?

It's not a huge lump, I just felt it this morning when I was brushing my teeth, its tiny, what is it?!

It's right near the "hole" but on the side of the gum, if that makes sense? Do I need to go to the dentist? IDK

Think it will be hard for anyone to tell over the internet without a pic, (and I'm not a dentist) but maybe it's a bone spicule- tiny sliver of bone from the extraction site that will work it's way out.

of course the panned answer is see or call your dentist if you are concerned.

feel better
