Hello all
I've lurked here for a long, long time I was even here this morning before my appointment.
So basically, years of sweet eating, neglect and fear have lead to my teeth being pretty shocking. Now I have a little girl and I want to to set a good example for when she's older and have nice teeth and no fear of the dentist.
A month ago I plucked up the courage to go to the dentist in town and have a consultation, I need two extractions, a good cleaning and quite a few fillings for which I have been referred to the sedation clinic across the road (how handy!).
To get to the point. Last week one of the teeth needing extracting became very painful, I used that temp filling stuff for relief. The pain was awful and there was no way I could wait another few weeks for my referral appointment so yesterday I called up my dentist and told them what was happening. At 3pm I went in and was terrified, I was pretty sure I was going to run out of there, and that was just waiting to be called in. My dentist was lovely, she said we could go at a pace that was ok for me, she numbed me up and after a few wriggles out came the evil tooth.
So that is my minor victory
