Today i underwent two tooth extractions that i believe went wrong. First Ive never had this proceedure done the practioner had a great deal of trouble removing the tooth, called for more tools , assistant to go and find the "right tool", had to yell turn the A/C on, had to take a break before proceedure was done. One of my teeth was chipped as a result of the rough nature of the removal. my lip was cut and a blister also .When I saw the huge gapping hole in my mouth I almost cried .it looks like a huge amount of my gum is gone.
The recovery is rough , bleeding , extreme pain. im so sad.:(:(:(

I am so sorry to hear your story. This should happen, but unfortunately these things happen. There are two main reasons for it:
1- the dentist decided to do this procedure even though it was too difficult for him/her to perform.
2- during the procedure, even though it was apparently very difficult, the dentist decided to continue and finish it in all costs.
One of the most things for a dentist (and for any person who treats others) is to know your limits, when can I treat and when should I address to a specialist.
That puts the patient in a difficult spot because the patient puts his trust and does not know what is actually happening during the treatment itself. But still, it is good to know that in almost in every given moment, without finishing it.
So if the patient has a very bad feeling, usually there is a possibility to stop the treatment with a temporary filling or stitching.
There might be some dentists who will disagree with this statement. , but I am ready to stand behind it.
