The dentist has recommended using ibuprofen and acetaminophen (paracetamol) together as an alternative to narcotic pain relief after my upcoming wisdom teeth extraction, but he didn't specify dosage. How much of each medication can be taken together safely and at what intervals?

I was told the same thing, and I did it through two separate extractions. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked well enough to get me through.
I was told to take 600 mg of Ibuprofen, and 500 mg of acetaminophen every 4-6 hours.

Provided you are medically able to to take both, you can take the maximum dosage on the packet. When I was having toothache and waiting for treatment I took the 12 hour slow release ibuprofen at 11am and 11pm, then paracetamol every four hours during the day on top of that. The ibuprofen might give you a bad stomach so I would be sure to take that with food.
