Hi all,
I know that metal-ly isn’t a word, but I can’t quite describe how my implant feels. It’s front tooth, top, and I had an extraction, bone graft, and implant a little over 2.5 weeks ago. This is my second implant. I don’t remember my other one feeling like this. I suppose the best way I can describe it is that I FEEL it, like I can feel the metal post. It’s almost like how it feels before you have to itch, except it doesn’t itch. It doesn’t hurt, but I feel it, and at times I kinda want to get it removed. This post probably sounds completely insane, but how have you all fared with implants? Did it ever just “feel weird”?

I have several implants, one of which is my top front tooth. Mine felt weird for quite some time. It was different than the molar implants because there was no healing cap until it was ready for the crown. I felt it more in the gums higher, towards the root. I did get over it once the crown was on, but it still feels weird when it is cold outside…that part of my gums feels cold. I think we notice it more because it is a high profile part of your mouth.
