Is it normal to still get slight pain in the extraction site 2 months after extraction?

I had my UL7 tooth extracted in early December.
It had originally a big abscess on it for some years, then was root canalled in 2021 and the abscess was healing well when checked in 2022
Then it cracked unfortunately, and the abscess started growing again and it was painful.
I had it extracted in early December 2024 and it was a long & difficult extraction but successfully done.
It was a relief afterwards and it felt much better, and it is healing well as far as I know.

This picture shows the comparison of the partially healed abscess on the root-canalled tooth in 2021 (red) and the newly growing abscess on the cracked tooth in 2024 (blue) and then it probably grew some more before the tooth was extracted a few weeks later:

I am noticing a sensation in the bone in the extraction site though.
It's pretty low level, and I'd say it's like a mild ache or tightness feeling, and it feels like it's inside the bone there.
It's not constant. I'll sometimes notice it in the evening for some hours. Or right now I'm feeling it mid-morning. Other times I don't notice anything.
Is this normal, at just over 8 weeks after it was extracted?
I'm wondering if this is me feeling the normal sensations of the abscess being cleared or new bone being made. Or whether it 's not normal to get this sensation.
Thanks very much.

That's a real relief, thanks ever so much. I'm happy to feel that if it's bone remodelling!
