Is it possible to handle a root canal, 10 days after oral surgery?

I have surgery coming up for a very deeply impacted wisdom tooth. It's being done under a general because of how deep it is. I have been waiting on an appointment for stage 2 of a root canal since last year. That is booked with my regular dentist for 10 days after my surgery.

Is this possible? Will I likely be in too much pain to have the root canal done? I know if I reschedule, I am going to be waiting months.

It should be OK, 10 days gives you plenty of healing time. Make sure you carefully follow the post op instructions for the surgery, you want to make sure it heals as well as it possibly can.
