my 8 yr old daughter just had her first filling. she did ok. the dentist told me everything went great and the numbing will were off shortly. my 1st question is that she says she still feels numbness, her cheek is swolling, she said her skin is itchy, and she is really nauseated: its been over 12 hrs: should i be concerned? i am very allergic to sulf and vicodine, and after my surgeries i get extremely ill from the anestheia, 2nd can she inherit my allergies, and is the anestheia makeing her ill? and 3rd how long before the swelling will go down? 4th how much longer before the numbness goes away? thanks courtney

I'm not a dentist but I wouldn't say this was a normal reaction at all. Please check back with your dentist asap.
