I have been on this website on and off for about a month after noticing a dark space between my top teeth & the one next to it. I haven't been to the dentist since I was a child and I am now in my thirties. I can just remember a really awful man doing a filling and then I never went back, I think my mum had the same phobia so didn't force me (I wish she did). I have a few back teeth that are completely ruined like rotted down to the gum line and have managed to hide them from everyone my whole life. Even my partner has never seen inside and we have a child together. How embarrassing 😔. Now I have these dark spots between my teeth, they are visible so have been forced to make an appt as I am so conscious of them. I am petrified of going and them telling me I need every single tooth removing, how do I explain that to everyone when they think I go to the dentist cos my teeth look fairly okay, or did before. I stay awake at night googling teeth and always find the worst case scenarios and then can't sleep. I have found a dentist who is apparently very good with nervous patients but I just can't shake the fear of what they will tell me when I get there. I am booked in for next week and so so scared.

Has anyone else had teeth so bad at the back, how do they remove them when there is nothing to grab hold of and how do they fix cavities between top front teeth? Any dentists on here please help ☺️

Plenty of stuff on here, have a read instead of googling :-)

Taking roots out is generally easier than taking an entire tooth out, don't worry about it. Fixing cavities between teeth is totally routine.

Remember what you think is uniquely your problem really isn't, it's just normal day to day stuff for your dentist :-)

@Gordon thankyou for replying, would they be able to do that in the dentist or would it have to be a hospital. Also would there be any reason they'd take my top teeth out instead of filling the cavity or am I being insane

No reason for it to be in a hospital. They will try to save what they can. You'll be given options when they do the exam and you can choose what you want to do, nobody is going to force you into anything.
