Hi everyone! I just joined, but have been lurking here on & off for a few years. A couple months ago I bit the bullet and got two wisdom teeth removed (upper and lower right). I had always been told that I had space and didn't need to have them taken out, but it turned out I had an infection that was eating at the bone (ew) on the lower right side, so they gave me an anti-microbial mouth rinse with a syringe to use for one week, and then said I would have to get both on the right side taken out after that.

Originally the symptoms I was feeling during infection was some ear ache, and a sensation that wasn't quite pain but something almost like pressure at the back of my mouth. Anyway, so they took the teeth out & the ear pain and jaw pain continued on and off for about a month but the sensation that something was knawing at the bone was gone. I still have a visible hole at the back and I am still using the syringe on the area with warm salt water 2-3 times a day to both prevent infection and keep food out. I still rinse with salt water to keep the bones lubricated too. I read it can never be bad to rinse with salt water?

It has been two months. Some days the jaw pain is really bad, and it alternates which side it is on. It also will feel sore in my throat on the right side, and on my neck, but as far as I know there isn't any infection left. I noticed since I got the teeth out that my bite is slightly off (can't really close the left side). Do you think this is contributing to the jaw pain? Is it possible that I am still healing from the infection or the surgery after two months? I'm just hoping this is not TMD! I do notice my teeth slightly clenched when I wake up in the mornings, but not all the time. I'm trying not to be worried about this as there are other health things going on that I'm trying to take care of right now unrelated to the mouth area, but I'm quite worried today because the pain feels more severe (it's on and off though, never constant). Thanks for reading this! I hope someone can relate or maybe shed some light on what this is.......

I'm sorry, I read your original post about 3 times, but I can't see what the question was, could you rephrase it for me?
