Hi I haven't posted in awhile. I don't know if anyone will remember my last post. The dental appointment didn't happen because the free dental being offered was a place with numerous complaints of wrong teeth being pulled, bad bedside manners, etc.
We cant afford dental financially so I haven't been able to go to one. On top of that I have severe Agoraphobia and Dentophobia. So trying to go to the dentist is hell.

So for those who dont know I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth, the black decay fell out of it 2 years back. I've been since just keeping it super clean. Flossing what few teeth I can (My teeth are too tight even for interdental brushes) using a tooth pick between the ones I cant floss. Using listerine mouth wash after any sugary or acidic things + limiting my acid and sugar intake to bare minimum. Using coconut oil every other day to do pulling. Brushing my teeth twice a day with flouride toothpaste. Rinsing my mouth with water, and using a toothpick after all meals.

Well my tooth has had 0 changes all this time except the odd white what I thought was fluorosis edges changing back to normal color, regular tooth color inside. However the past 3 days theres been a change, inside my tooth looked darker than normal. I had my mothers help to check it she says a small spot is light grey inside the tooth. A small piece of tooth came out again very tiny.

I have not hurt it with any impact. It has not been in pain. It still can feel pain when using mouthwash when it hits inside the cavity same with hot and cold things. The outside / undamaged parts of the tooth are not overly sensitive and can feel heat and cold normally like all others. There is no bumps, no swelling or redness of the gums. No bad smells. No bad taste in the mouth.
I tested with ice cubes to make sure I could still feel the cold normally to make sure its not nerve damage. Theres no constant pain either, its not waking me up in the night or anything it only hurts badly when it rains or is humid out.

I do take multivitamins, I do take probiotic milk drinks and yogurts, and I do consume a lot of antibiotic fruits and iron filled greens (not sure if any of those would stain things grey)

The only recent issues I had was a huge 2 week long IBS flare up where I had constant GERD triggered by it.

My anxiety is so high from finding this darker spot in the tooth. We are getting free dental next year possibly in the summer or fall and will be going down to get out health cards, then make an appointment and plan to go then.
Do I need to worry? Its going to still be around a year of time before I can go, I don't have much other choice besides the hospital if it comes down to it.

I really need some help because my anxiety is so bad right now that I feel like im going to puke.

Not really. If you're managing to re-mineralise the decay a bit (with all the Fluoride you may well be) then it'll change appearance, decay is not a static process.

There's no point in worrying about it, it'll either be fine to wait or it won't be, worrying won't change that (easy for me to say sitting here!).

Be very careful about consuming these things between meals, they are very far from tooth friendly. Keep them to meal times only and do not snack on them between meals.

Okay I didn't know that. That eases my mind a little thank you <3 Any changes have worried the heck outta me when I see them.

Noted, I didn't think those would be except the fruits and those I do use mouthwash and gently brush 30 minutes after to try and make sure they dont damage my teeth.

Thank you so much for responding <3

No, decay is a constant process between de-mineralsation caused by plaque acids mainly and re-mineralisation due to saliva.
