lump under tongue

I have had a red lump under my tongue for about 3 months. Its at the base off my tongue on the right hand side between my tongue and gum. It does change size but never goes away. At its largest it would get to about 1.5cm. When it gets smaller it feels hollow and takes a white appearance but is still visable. When it is enlarged it is dark red and looks full of blood. Its nots not discharge any blood or liquid when it changes size. It is not painfull at all. Would anyone be able to advise what this may be. Not to worried about it but just wanted to see if anyone had the same experience and how they got it removed.

Please go to a dentist as soon as possible and get this checked out.

It's very likely harmless, but without a proper examination, you can't be sure.
