Metal clamp

Plz help I suffer ptsd and severe anxiety got all the way with having the filling And the minute they put the metal clamp in had to stop. So have ended up with a temporary filling
Don’t know what to do

before jumping into conclusions, may I ask you how do you usually work with your dentist? Do they explain things to you / are you taking breaks? Do you like your dentist? Things are sometimes a bit more complex than they seem so before looking for solutions, it may be good to understand what is going on.
