mini dental implants

I was wondering if mini dental implants are a good option to replace a missing tooth. Supposedly they are just as reliable as a traditional implant but at a fraction of the cost.

I would love to hear about the mini/mdi implants as well! They seem too good to be true but I hear that they are not really that good to replace certain teeth?

I'm sure comfortdentist will be a great resource here, but with my limited experience with them I feel that they are a suitable option in limited situations. They don't integrate as well as traditional implants and due to their small diameter they cannot withstand as much force as a traditional implant can. The oral surgeon I work with isn't a big fan.
