My story is on here about a dental crown needed re-doing that turned into an extraction of a top molar tooth. I had the tooth out on June 11th and i'm healing well. My dentist put me through two crown impressions before realizing the tooth was cracked, sent me to an Endo for a CT scan, then to an Oral surgeon. It was a journey, had to find my own oral surgeon as the one i was referred to was going to take too long and i needed it out asap- luckily i was able to get in much quicker, which was good as i had some infection in the root! I was trying to remain calm but still very nervous when the appt. came (they were 1/2 an hour behind and also changed my appt. an hour later due to an emergency a few days before which also didn't help), but i was in the chair for less than a half hour, tooth out in about 5 mins., came out in 3 pieces due to being root canalled, and i was soo relieved once i was done! He didn't numb me at all which shocked me but he was done before i could even ask!, but they were all nice who i dealt with. Bled more than i hoped once i got home and took out the gauze to change it, had to take the bus home and moving around with walking probably didn't help that plus the bus was almost full, unlike my calm ride over with not many, but all is going well. I ate soft foods for days but can finally eat better and soon will be back to normal foods. My gum is almost healed but it feels weird, swelling was gone fully after afew days, so guess i just have to adjust to the new feeling. I am proud of myself, am treating myself and being patient with myself. It is never as bad in reality as it is in your head so know you can also do this when you are faced with doing this as well.
