I recently had some fillings. Immediately afterwards I developed at least one ulcer right next to the filled teeth.
As a child, I would often get multiple ulcers after going to the dentist, even if they just poked around a bit. Is there a reason for this or am I just unlucky?

I had the exact same problem and became an expert at it because these things feel like somebody is cutting a hole in your cheek with a rusty steak knife. I solved it by using peridex (Chlorhexedrine gluconate) as a mouthwash for a week after seeing the dentist for anything, as that stuff kills the microbes that cause ulcers, as well as any other infection, especially after teeth cleaning.

Also, avoiding chocolate, coffee and booze. Chocolate in particular. Hope that helps.
