Mouth Ulcers

How long do these things typically last? I got a pretty gnarly one at the injection site (above the second molar they pulled) on my pallet side. It's been 7 days, and it has gotten better, but damn it is STILL painful to eat. This thing has hurt way more than my recovery from getting the molar pulled!

But, But, But @Gordon they told me just to swish with warm salt water and have patience. My patience have worn thin!
