This is merely asked out of curiosity, I am NOT due an MRI scan to the best of my knowledge. :)

However, if I WAS due to have one of my skull, would the presence of various posts, etc in my teeth rule out such a scan? I have posts (metal?) in a couple of my teeth and a special split cast gold post in two molars. I also have three gold crowns on rear molars.

Would they cause me problems with an MRI scan?

Or are ALL 'metal' tooth implants/support materials of a type that won't cause problems if having an MRI scan?

Yep. I think all metal work used in teeth is non-ferrous therefore not affected.

Good to know, ta.
