I was scheduled to have a bottom molar and the wisdom tooth extracted next Thursday.
I took an antibiotic for a week and after I finished bam, I got sick.
Horrible sore throat + dry cough (no COVID), which is not resolving after 7 days (no fever) so the ENT gave me another antibiotic+ nebuliser for 8 days.
I called the dentist office to postpone the surgery.
Now, on the same side I have the top molar with an old root canal which is being sensitive.
Questions:
1. How long would one want to wait after recovering from a long bacterial pharingytis before multiple extractions (2. Or 3 not impacted molars)
2. Is it true that because maybe the immune system is not yet fully recovered, there is more chance of dry socket? (Chatgpt opinion )
3. Would I want to add the top molar to the bottom two since they are at the same side?
I never removed multiple teeth and it was already hard to recover from one!!
I am hoping I don't have to remove the top one but to be honest I learnt how it goes with root cnaaled teeth
