I just went in for an extraction of 14 teeth on Jun 16th. The remaining 13 Upper I had and 1 Lower back molar. I was given a few shots and in about 5 mins the dentist started removing the Uppers. I shook non-stop and clenched my fingernails in my palms. I started my monthly 2 weeks ahead of schedule right there in the dentist chair. On the way home I noticed he didn't pull the bottom tooth. I'm supposed to make an appt to see the denturist to take a mold for the top complete Denture in 2 weeks, but that bottom tooth is why i finally gave in to see a dentist in the first place... it's a broken half tooth, it hurts and it's still there! Is it normal for a dentist to do only tops and not a combination of both top and bottom? Did he forget? I wasn't told to make an appointment to come back for it to be extracted. Should I try to see a different dentist or is what I went through normal? I'm so confused and not sure if i should try to have the last of the expected 14 teeth pulled before having the mold made. I don't know if it will change things or mess things up. It's been 5 days, the necrotic tissue has fallen away, the clots are intact, my upper gums are still sore and feel swollen, I have no fever, no temporary denture, and my speech is off, like a lisp i guess. The reviews i read online said the dentist I'd had an appt with had had great success with anxiety patients but that so wasn't the case with me.
