Until I can get my wisdom tooth removed so she can do a root canal on this tooth.

She said that the filling was to stop/remove the decay, and that the filling now surrounds the nerve.

I had this done on Thursday - it's now Saturday and I'm still experiencing some toothache. Is this normal? She mentioned that doing this filling might aggravate the nerve, but she said it should be fine for a couple months.

I'm just worried as I'm off to a festival next week and if it's going to be like this the whole time it'll be awful!

If it's not better tomorrow morning then call the dentist again. Can't really offer you much more advice than that.

@Gordon thank you. Judging by how it feels now I don't think it will be.

Will just have to have it removed I guess.

@Gordon Getting it pulled tonight.

Slightly annoyed, I paid £60 for a 'temporary filling' on Thursday that's done nothing other than cause me pain, and now it's being taken out.

I know what you mean. The joy of dealing with biological processes. I think I prefer Chemistry nowadays :-)
