@Dr. Daniel Thanks for sharing 🙂! I think it's very common for people to be overzealous and apply too much pressure because they want to be extra thorough, so thanks for highlighting this pitfall!
One thing that struck me - fortunately, electric toothbrushes have really taken off, in the UK at least. Apparently, 2 out of 3 adults now use an electric rather than manual brush:
So much easier to use, and many models have built-in features that prevent applying too much pressure 👍. For the vast majority of people, they appear to be much more effective as well. The only downside is that they're more expensive.
